Your aura is the energy field that surrounds your entire body. It’s the defence mechanism that we have in this world and that’s why it’s so important to keep it happy, clean and strong.
This does require a little bit of work now and again but the good news is that there are so many simple, yet effective options available to do this. Below are some pretty simple and quick(ish) tips to try out.
Ground Yourself as Often as Possible
Personally, I absolutely adore grounding. Walking barefoot on grass or soil is so pleasurable and you can almost instantly feel lingering discordant energies lifting and being transmuted by the planet’s energy.
The Earth itself is a beautiful living being with its own energetic signature and unique abilities and staying connected to it with regular grounding can help us, its inhabitants, to stay healthy and in balance.
Purify Your Physical Body
Take care of your physical health by eating healthy, unprocessed foods and drinking plenty of quality mineral water (free from fluoride).
Add some smoothies to your meal plans and stay away from foods that you are sensitive to.
If you feel you need to detox, try an iodine supplement such as Detoxidine as nascent iodine helps the body to expel toxins.
Avoid working for too many hours each week if you can too. If most of your work is computer-based, make sure your posture is correct at all times and that you take regular breaks from the monitor throughout the day. Some experts suggest taking a break from the screen every 20 minutes.
Take Salt Baths Regularly

Aside from being deeply relaxing, salt baths can also help to thoroughly cleanse discordant energies from the aura.
Pour a whole cup of Himalayan salt, Epsom salt, or even Sea salt into a warm bath and swirl the salt around with your hand until you can feel the crystals have all dissolved into the water.
Set the intention that the bath will clear away any inappropriate energies and soak in the tub for at least 20 minutes. While soaking, you might like to listen to a subliminal cleansing track or practice some deep breathing.
Some people prefer to use Epsom salts as they not only cleanse the body and aura but help to top up magnesium levels. They also seem to be fantastic with easing achy, tight and sore muscles.
Use Purifying Sounds
Sound can be rather surprisingly cleansing. There are many ways to cleanse our aura with sound, however, the simplest and fastest way is to buy a small gong or bell.
Focus on the sound with your eyes closed and comfortably seated and visualize your aura being purified.
Get in the Sun
We’ve been told over and over that the sun can be intensely harmful to our tissues, and this is true, however, staying out of the sun completely might cause a vitamin D deficiency.
If you can get around 10-15 minutes of sun exposure each day, depending on where you live, this should help you to keep your vitamin D level up. If you’re very fair and easily burn in the sun, then you should probably pass on this and just take a good Vitamin D3 supplement. There are tonnes of other ways to keep your aura sparkly clean.
Salts Mixed with Baking Soda & Herbs
Some bathing salts come with all kinds of fragrant herbs mixed in such as sage, bergamot, lavender, etc. Westlab released a line of Epsom salts for aiding sleep, relaxation and to help you feel more energized.
Smudge Yourself with Herbs

Most people prefer to smudge their auras with sage. Californian sage, in particular, produces large amounts of smoke so you can very easily and quickly cleanse your own aura.
You can buy sage leaves or pull leaves out from a sage stick or simply light the end of a stick and put it out in soil or water once done. I personally prefer to smudge with Palo Santo wood. I find the scent more pleasing. You can also use sweetgrass and many other herbs if you don’t like the smell of burning sage or how much smoke it produces.
Stand in the Wind
I know, I know. This suggestion is really strange and you probably haven’t heard of it before!
I understand that it might not sound very appealing for two reasons; you have to wait for a windy day to come along and standing in the wind is overall a pretty unpleasant experience but have you ever noticed how good you feel afterward?
Here’s how I use the wind to cleanse my aura (if it’s a windy day of course!):
I set the intention for my aura to be completely cleared of any and all negative, stale and neutral energies. I’ll quickly visualize my aura being in my mind’s eye I then go into my garden, usually barefoot if the weather is warm enough, stand on the lawn and outstretch my arms to let the air wash over me.
Stand in the Rain
Ok, ok, this might be a might impractical – at best – and for so many reasons; you have to wait for rain, you’ll get soaked through and you’ll have to be careful to avoid getting sick…
But it works! Water is incredibly cleansing.
Alternatively, if you don’t fancy standing in the rain, especially on a cold day, you could just set the intention to clear your aura of any discordant energies and then take a shower in the comfort of your own bathroom instead!
Get Moving
Any gentle movement is brilliant for overall health and vitality. It’ll also help to shed lingering discordant energies from your aura. And it’s lots of fun!
Listen to A Subliminal Aura Cleansing Track

Youtube is brimming with delicious subliminal tracks which can help to clear the aura. Use search terms such as ‘clear aura subliminal’ and ‘cleansing subliminal’.
Take a Metaphysical Shower
Last but absolutely not least, you can just as effectively mentally cleanse your aura as can with physical rituals.
You can have a metaphysical shower at the end of each day or simply whenever you’re feeling unwell. This essentially entails imagining your aura being cleansed in a beautiful ray of light.
You can also mentally ground yourself once finished by visualizing roots growing from your feet and anchoring you to the center of the earth.
Hopefully, you’ll find some of those tips easy to implement. I know that my favorite one by far is taking salt baths. I don’t take them too often but the combination of intention setting and soaking in a warm salt bath provides me personally with a really powerful aura cleansing method.
